Client/Instructor: Professor Krikun, SUNY Westchester Community College
Digital Design: Michelle Pillco
Project Title:  Babyella   Date: Fall 2017

This animation was inspired by my niece when she was about 6 months old. She would always be missing a sock, nicknamed her “Cinderella”. I wanted to create an animation with inspired by that cute and funny story.

According the article “Why design educators should pay attention to trends”, it is stated “People are no longer passive consumers of information in this complex social and technological landscape, but active participants in generating the content and quality of experiences”. With this animation i wanted to capture the attention of everyone, any age group. Children and animals have always have been a trendy subject that everyone enjoys. The bond between a loving animals and their human friend can be very powerful. I agree with the article, “Evaluate design solutions for their short- and long-term physical, social, cultural, technological, and economic effect…” Its true, in the beginning of this project, i didn’t think about the long term. Now i know to think about both the short and long term outcomes.
